COVID-19 Measures for Well-being and SafetyOur goal is to maintain a safe and clean escape for our guests and employees, while maintaining the highest level of service our guests have come to expect. We have implemented many new policies to enforce social distancing as well as continuous sanitization of high touchpoint areas. The Dutchess Inn & Spa: has been fully deep cleaned and sanitized, and our expert housekeeping team maintains a continuous schedule of sanitizing and cleaning. All our employees have daily temperature checks and will wear masks at all times and gloves when necessary. Hotel Rooms:
All guests will need to answer the screening questionnaire and sign that they have answered these questions fully and truthfully to gain access to the property.
- Within the last 2 weeks, have you experienced any flu like symptoms?
- Within the last 2 weeks, have you had a positive COVID 19 diagnostic test result?
- Within the last 2 weeks, have you been in close contact with anyone who is a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case?
- Within the last 2 weeks, have you traveled outside the state?

If you anticipate answering YES to any of the screening questions, please DO NOT TRAVEL to The Dutchess Inn & Spa.

* All guests will have their temperature taken upon arrival and be asked to sanitize their hands. IF your temperature reads 100 degrees or more the guest along with additional party members unfortunately can not remain on the premise.

* When possible, rooms will be unoccupied for at least 24 hours prior to arrival. During this period, they will be disinfected and ionized. Once the room is ionized, no one will enter until the guest arrives.

No Housekeeping Service: Upon arrival there will be extra towels placed in your room for the duration of the stay. Extra laundry bags will be available for guests to place dirty hotel linen in and leave outside the guest room door. Please call the front desk once the bag is placed outside for housekeeping to pick up.

All stationery and pens have been removed from guest rooms. These items are available upon request.

 Sanitizing Air purifiers have been placed in all guests' rooms and common rooms for your additional safety.

Spa services:
* All guests getting treatments at the spa will have their temperatures taken upon their arrival to the spa and be asked to sanitize their hands. If temperature reads 100 degrees or more the guest along with additional party members can not receive services or remain on the property.
At this time, limited spa services are available. Treatment rooms will be vacant for 30 minutes between treatments to allow for thourough sanitizing and cleaning.

Spa guests & Spa employees are required to wear a face mask during their service.

Safety & Well-being
We request guests follow social distancing guidelines and wear masks at all times in public areas.
Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the inn
All staff will clean solid surfaces and door handles on a regular basis.
Employees will wear masks at all times and gloves when necessary.

Reception/Concierge
The reception desk will be disinfected after each use.
During the check in and check out process, we ask only one guest to approach the reception desk at a time.
Final folios can be emailed to guests the morning of departure in order to limit interaction at the reception desk.

THE DUTCHESS INN AND SPA POLICIES

These Hotel Policies are a condition of your stay. Registration constitutes agreement.

LODGING POLICIES
The maximum number of guests per hotel bedroom is TWO at any time unless prior arrangements have been made. A Major Credit Card is to be used to reserve the room and a matching valid ID must be presented at the time of check-in. Guests must be 21 years of age with valid photo ID to book a room.

CHECK-IN
We welcome guests to arrive between 3:00pm - 8:00pm.
Arrivals after 8:00p.m. MUST make prior arrangements with our reservations staff to ensure easy access to your room. Please CALL US the day of your reservation 845.205.2900 to CONFIRM YOUR ARRIVAL TIME.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CHECK-IN EARLY, please call 845.205.2900 AFTER 10am ON the day of your reservation to discuss your needs. There is an early-check in "Priority Fee" Available for an additional $25.00 for a limited amount of rooms, please inquire about availability.

CHECK-OUT time is by 11:00am.
In order to give rooms the proper attention required for our cleaning standards all guests must check-out by 11am the day of departure. Late check-outs may be arranged with prior approval, however any departures not pre-approved for late check-out will be assessed a $25/per 1/2 hour late check-out fee. Guests not checked-out by 3pm will be charged an additional night.

PARKING: There is a free municipal lot within one block of our front door, in addition to free street parking which is monitored by the city, current sign restrictions will apply.

CANCELLATIONS & CHANGES & CREDITS:
In the unlikely event that you must cancel your reservation, the following applies: If cancelled 7 days or more prior to arrival you have your choice to have your full deposit be made available to you for a future night stay (within one year) OR the original deposit can be refunded, minus a $25 cancellation fee. If you cancel or shorten your stay within the 7 day period please understand that we must ask you to take FULL responsibility for your ENTIRE original reservation. Early departure will be charged for the full amount of original reservation.


**COVID-19 CANCELLATION POLICY - If you or your guest has tested positive for COVID-19 which will impact your upcoming reservation call us immediately at 845.205.2900 to discuss your personal situation. Every effort will be made to reschedule your visit and rebook your cancelled room in order to avoid any fees that may apply within our cancellation policy. Please note we will request testing documentation for verification purposes.

Any credits are to be used within 180 days of the credit given and will be reduced 50% the next 180 days from the day the credit was established. The Credit will be forfeited if not used within one year from the date of the credit.

RESERVATION DATE CHANGES: requested prior to 7 days of arrival are subject to hotel availability and a minimum $25 change fee which will be applied if a change can be accommodated. Date Changes requested within 7 days must be dealt with on a case by case basis, and a minimum $50 change fee will be applied if a change can be accommodated. All above policies still apply.

LOCAL & DAY GUESTS: For the discretion and enjoyment of all our registered hotel guests, visiting friends & family are limited to a maximum of two (2) people at any time in public areas only, guests are permitted between 9am-9pm. Guests are Not permitted in areas exclusively reserved for registered guests, such as; the rooftop fire-side lounge.

KINDLY NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES permitted on the property. New York state liquor license law prohibits BYOB and the consumption alcohol purchased outside of the property to be consumed in the Public Spaces of the Hotel. You are allowed to consume personal beverages in your Hotel Room only. While staying with us please respect the law and inquire about our many selections of wine and beer available to be purchased. You will be asked to keep any outside beverages in your hotel room once. If this request is not complied with forthwith, a $300 fine per incident will be applied to your hotel folio.

CHARGING PRIVILEGES. As a Registered Guest, you may charge spa services, Romance/In-Room packages and alcohol to your house account at the Dutchess Inn and Spa which will be charged to the credit card on file. An automatic 20% Gratuity for the Spa Attendant will be added to each service not closed out.

NON-SMOKING PROPERTY:
Smoking, Vaping is NOT allowed in any guest room or public spaces. However, in our desire to accommodate all guest needs, we ask that smokers discreetly use the designated outdoor areas. There is a minimum $300 cleaning fee automatically assessed for any smoking violation. There are Fresh-Air devices installed in every hotel room that monitor the air quality and if the device is activated due to an un-authorized pollutant, you will be notified by email and the credit card on file will be charged the aforementioned fine.

PETS:
Pets are accepted on a case by case basis in certain rooms and are only allowed on property with prior arrangements and approval. We have a weight limit of 50lbs. There is a $55.00 mandatory non-refundable fee per night for any pet approved to be on property.

**If you book a pet friendly room on-line you must contact us PRIOR to arrival to notify us would like to bring your pet so we can make sure you are in the best room available.

CHILDREN:
Our property is designed for adult travelers and does not cater to children. Please understand that while we love children, we have created a property that is geared toward adults looking to escape from the realities of home, work & family life.

EVERY GUEST reservation is both important and special to us. If your travel plans change and you must cancel your hotel reservation, please understand the below fees and policies will apply. Please be sure to read and understand these policies completely.

DEPOSITS, FEES & PAYMENT:
A minimum deposit of one night’s room rate (plus tax and service fee) is required to secure any reservation and will automatically be charged to your credit card upon making a reservation. Payment for retail items and gift certificates is also collected at the time of purchase.

Seven (7) days prior to your arrival, a non-refundable prepayment for the remaining nights of your stay is required and will be charged to the credit card on file automatically. If you have requested to pay by cash this must be arranged and All fees must be paid in full prior to your arrival a credit card must also remain on file during the entire reservation.

All room rates are subject to 3.75% County, 4% State tax, a 4.375% Occupancy/MTA tax and a 2.5% Hotel Fee. Our hotel fees include: complimentary WiFi access throughout the property, 24 hour coffee, tea and bottled water, beautiful roof-top gardens and fire-lit solarium for enjoyment of guests; additional housekeeping needs as requested.

DAMAGES: The Dutchess Inn and Spa is filled with beautiful pieces both antique and designer. You will find exquisite fabrics, quality linens and heirloom carpets throughout our home and hope you enjoy them as much as you respect them. In the unlikely event damage occurs to items within the Inn and Spa either by accident or otherwise you will be responsible for the cleaning, repair or complete replacement of damaged items.

If any provision of these Policies are held to be invalid or unenforceable, the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions of this Note will not be affected or impaired. You hereby accept all the aforementioned policies by accepting the Terms and Conditions of this reservation.

AUTO-COLLECT
A deposit for the first night's stay is collected at the time of purchase. Payment for gift certificates is collected at the time of purchase.

CHILDREN & PETS
Children are not allowed. Pets are welcome. Pets must weigh under 50 pounds.
